Responsibilities of CCM members

The Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) of the Global Fund to fight HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria is a multi-sectoral partnership of relevant stakeholders with health programs in the three disease areas. It is hence the task of all CCM members to not represent their own agency/organization only but their entire constituency.

CCM members are encouraged to regularly and actively participate in CCM meetings and communications and to keep their constituency well informed about proceedings and decisions made at the CCM as well as the Global Fund Board. CCM members must ensure that information provided by the CCM is shared with the entire constituency at all hierarchical and geographical levels. Similarly, CCM members shall fairly and accurately represent their constituency's views and concerns at CCM meetings. This will require them to consult regularly with organizations and individuals within their constituency.

In order to enhance the commitment of the various constituencies, the CCM Secretariat has facilitated the elaboration of Constituency Engagement Plans.

Depending on the topics discussed, individual CCM members may experience a situation in which CCM interests clash with their personal ones or those of an organization they are affiliated with. In such a case, members must openly declare conflict of interest and offer to leave the room, and or to refrain from voting, during that discussion and or decision.
